The DJ Mag Awards Ceremony crowns the world’s very best DJ every year. Ranked from 100 up the the #1, the award show is a moment both artists as well as fans look forward to celebrating. Tonight’s winners were a surprise to some, and a dream come true for others.
Back in the top three is the man of many generations, hero to all trancers and allround legend Armin van Buuren. After having aired his 836th radio show with combined ADE allnighter A State Of Trance, he’s proving his worth this week. His 16th year in the top 5? What a man!
The only non-Dutch in the DJ Mag Awards top 5 are former #1s Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. The Belgian duo is known to bring the madness to any venue they spin at, and there are few who know how to make the crowd bounce at the drop of a hat.
For the second consecutive year, 21-year old Martin Garrix was crowned the very best DJ in the world. Garrix’ self-proclaimed ‘rollercoaster ride’ keeps taking him to new heights and new places around the globe. Armin congratulated his fellow-countryman by saying he makes him all the prouder to be Dutch.
For a small country, the mantra seems true based on the rankings; if it ain’t Dutch, it ain’t much!
